Pregnancy After Miscarriage – Moving Forward After Failure

Miscarriage hurts the most, physically, emotionally and mentally. This causes pain to a couple, who wishes nothing more but to have children and create a family. Some couple opts to move on by having another pregnancy after miscarriage, but is this really safe and possible?

First and foremost, what is miscarriage? Miscarriage is an unfortunate event wherein, by reason of accident or an incident that requires in doing so, the fetus which is less than 20 weeks old is expelled from the mother’s womb. Most often, miscarriage takes place during the first trimester, where it is often called early miscarriages, while late miscarriages occur during the early weeks of the second trimester. Now, we go to the main question; is it possible to be pregnant again right after miscarriage?

Of course, naturally speaking, it is all right to be pregnant again even after a miscarriage. Then again, experts advise against it for various reasons. First and foremost, while it is a good way to drive away the sad emotion you felt for losing your baby, you would not feel as much joy as you would have felt the first time. It is also suggested that the best time for a woman to get pregnant again is two or three months after she had her miscarriage. Some even suggests around half to a full year. This is because your uterus had been weak, and needs time to recover and restore the strength of the endometrial lining and be healthy once more, available to be occupied by a fetus.

Statistics show that eighty-five (85%) percent of the women got through a successful pregnancy right after having a miscarriage. Meanwhile seventy five percent (75%) of the women gets a successful pregnancy two to three succeeding tries. This large percentage shows the high chance of a successful pregnancy right after.

Then again it is important that you seek professional consultation should you decide to conceive once more after miscarriage, especially if you are over thirty five years old, have fertility problems, experienced more than two miscarriages or if you have an illness that might after your pregnancy. Getting pregnant after such a rough experience could be mortifying and scarier than being so the first time, and deciding to try again is a decision that must be undertaken unanimously as a couple. Always remember, that being pregnant again will not make up for your miscarriage, then again, it will be your offspring, therefore, make sure to love it as much as you can.
